Actor

Silas Johnson grew up in Savannah, Georgia, acting as much as he could. Here he played some of his favorite roles, including Christopher Boone in “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime,” Jimmy Ray in “Bright Star,” and C.C. Showers in “The Diviners.” He has also done a lot of work through The Historic Savannah Theater, including portraying Perchik in “Fiddler on the Roof” and Johnny Casino in “Grease.”

Silas is currently earning a BFA in Acting from The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he has performed alongside Caissie Levy and Michael James Scott, as well as worked under the direction of Jasper Grant and Kevin Stites.

Musician

As a Singer/songwriter, Silas Johnson is striving to bring back an older sound to the new generation, drawing inspiration from many artists before his time.

This is, most likely, the result of growing up as the son of a jazz singer (Clay Johnson of The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra), who preferred older tunes to newer music on the radio.

His guitar playing is kindred to that of many melodic guitarists, such as David Gilmour from Pink Floyd and Gary Rossington from Lynyrd Skynyrd, and his singer songwriter spirit is the result of growing up listening to stars like Billy Joel and Paul Simon.

With his effort to combine the sounds of classic rock with modern music, Johnson’s songs are truly one of a kind and are sure to leave the listener wanting more.
